Department Head Payroll & Admin Abacus, 80-100%

For our client, a renowned and internationally active company, we are looking for a strong leader with operational know-how. You will take responsibility for the development of the teams as well as for structured and successful project management and actively participate in the implementation.

Your Tasks

  • Manage your department both functionally and disciplinarily in the company with several entities under a specific GAV for around 2,500 HC’s with 6 employees.
  • Ensure the daily business including reports and key figures and lead the area of Payroll & Administration.
  • Support in special cases and year-end work, audits, and salary rounds including bonus calculations, early retirements, and compensation payments.
  • Ensure, optimize, and simplify existing processes across all 4 GAV teams.
  • Implement the HR digitization strategy, introduce and further develop (new) tools.
  • Be a sparring partner for the Shared Services management.

Your Profile

  • About 10 years of operational experience in Payroll & HR Administration and labor law with the corresponding further education, complemented by proven leadership experience of about 5 years.
  • Experienced in payroll accounting; taxes, social security, and labor law.
  • IT and system-affine, good knowledge of Abacus and SuccessFactors Employee Central.
  • Independent, self-directed working and strong self-organization qualities.
  • Native German, knowledge of French or Italian is an advantage.
