HR Manager (80-100%)

The University of Lucerne is a modern, personal, and dynamic university focused on human sciences.

We are seeking a HR Manager starting February 1, 2027 or by agreement.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement the HR strategy in alignment with the rector and university management.
• Overall responsibility for further development of HR management, including tailored personnel consulting, salary policy enhancement, and HR services digitization.
• Direct management of the HR department and equality officers.
• Advise and support the management and leaders on organizational development, leadership, and employee lifecycle issues.
• Participate in university commissions and support strategic HR-related projects.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in business administration or law or equivalent qualification (e.g. NDS HRM).
• Several years of leadership experience in HR, ideally in an academic environment.
• Experience with complex organizations and diverse stakeholders.
• Good knowledge of public personnel law.
• Experience in change management and transformation processes.
• Strong communication skills, persuasiveness, empathy, and leadership strength.
• Problem-solving and integration abilities.
• Strategic, analytical, and networked thinking as well as structured and solution-oriented working style.
• Fluent in German and English.
