HR Area Manager (80%)

The Gemeinnützige Gesellschaft Zug (GGZ) has been committed to helping people in the canton of Zug since 1884. Today, it is a versatile social enterprise with over 750 employees, engaged in social, educational, cultural, child and youth, and health sectors.

GGZ includes various institutions with independent tasks and profiles: KiBiZ Children’s Care Zug, the GGZ@Work social company for vocational and social integration, the Sennhütte specialized institution for addiction therapy, the Loreto leisure facility, and the Horbach school as a special school with a boarding facility. The Adelheid Clinic, with around 350 employees, is part of GGZ and has independent leadership and support structures.

In the central business office, HR, finance, ICT, and association management are consolidated. To strengthen our team, we are looking for an engaged and experienced personality as HR Area Manager (80%) as soon as possible or by agreement.

Shape the future of HR in a versatile organization.

As a member of the management team of the business office and sparring partner of the management, you will take on responsibility for the central HR of GGZ and actively shape its strategic and operational development. Together with your team, you will create the personnel framework for several institutions of GGZ and thereby make a significant contribution to the development of one of the largest non-profit organizations in the canton of Zug.

Your Tasks

  • You are responsible for the strategic and operational development of GGZ's central HR.
  • You prepare foundations, recommendations, and decision-making documents on overarching HR topics for management.
  • You lead, promote, and develop an HR team of three employees.
  • You ensure professional and efficient HR core processes along the entire employee life cycle.
  • You create clear roles, responsibilities, and interfaces within the HR department and with the institutions.
  • You continuously develop HR processes, instruments, and standards and drive digitalization.
  • You promote a uniform and binding use of HR systems, particularly Abacus.
  • You lead HR and organizational development projects, particularly in process development, digital transformation, and employer attractiveness.
  • You are responsible for the professional management of payroll and year-end work.
  • You take on selected operational HR tasks and thus stay close to the daily business.
  • You ensure quality, compliance, data protection, and data quality in the HR area.

Your Profile

  • You are an experienced HR leader with a willingness to shape, pragmatism, and a modern understanding of personnel work. You also have a high affinity for IT and use digital possibilities purposefully to advance processes, systems, and services.
  • You manage to bring together different interests, build trust, and successfully implement changes.
  • You have a higher HR education (e.g., federal certificate in HR leadership, master's degree or equivalent).
  • You bring several years of professional and leadership experience in a broadly positioned HR leadership role.
  • You have experience in organizations with different stakeholders, decentralized structures, or comparable complexity.
  • You have experience in designing and optimizing processes and leading projects.
  • You understand HR systems and digital processes and use them purposefully for the further development of HR.
  • You possess in-depth knowledge in the field of payroll and can professionally manage corresponding processes.
  • You communicate clearly, reliably, and appropriately to the audience and build trust at all levels.
  • Experience in social, educational, or healthcare sectors is welcome but not a requirement.
