Our client, the Catholic Church of Lucerne, makes an important contribution to church and social life in the city with its parishes, locations, and departments. Around 300 employees engage daily in various ways in the service of people. The office provides central services with around 25 employees in the fields of construction/infrastructure, finance/business administration, marketing/communication, personnel, and digitalization, supporting the democratically elected bodies (church council and general church council) in fulfilling their tasks.
Due to the retirement of the long-standing incumbent, we are looking for a team-oriented, organizational, and communication-strong Head of Human Resources for 80% employment as of August 1, 2026, or by agreement.

Your Responsibilities

• Leadership of the HR department and management of three employees in HR consulting and payroll administration.
• Responsible for recruitments, labor law, and all HR processes.
• HR consulting for the office as well as various locations and departments.
• Responsible for change processes in the HR area.
• Responsibility for the personnel budget in collaboration with management and departmental leaders.
• Consulting tasks in collaboration with the church council, writing proposals.
• Leading HR projects and participating in project teams.
• Initiating and co-organizing training and events.
• Close collaboration with management, departmental leaders, and your team.

Your Profile

• Completed advanced training in Human Resources.
• At least 5 years of experience in a senior HR position.
• Proven track record in leadership as well as in project and process management.
• Conceptual and organizational skills.
• Strong communication skills in both oral and written form.
• Very good MS Office skills, knowledge of Abacus is an advantage.
• Affinity with the Catholic Church and its values.
