Role purpose

The Educational Activities Assistant supports the delivery of ERS assessment activities, particularly focusing on the HERMES examinations for adult and paediatric. Working closely within the education team and the Assessment Director, the role ensures high-quality assessment processes and contributes to the continuous evolution of ERS educational standards.

Key contribution areas

1. Governance & operational coordination

  • Coordinate operational planning and governance of ERS assessment activities.
  • Assist in the operational planning and delivery of the Adult and Paediatric HERMES examinations.
  • Monitor project plans, budgets, milestones and examination timelines.

2. Learning pathways, assessments, accreditation & certification

  • Ensure the quality and continuous development of ERS assessment activities.
  • Assist in the development and delivery of the Adult and Paediatric HERMES examinations.

3. Global engagement, partnerships & capacity building

  • Strengthen international recognition and reach of ERS assessment programmes.
  • Coordinate translation initiatives to support multilingual delivery.

4. Collaboration & cross-functional Contribution

  • Foster teamwork and knowledge sharing across ERS.

Education & professional background

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in education, health sciences, business administration, project management or a related discipline.
  • Experience coordinating educational assessments or complex educational projects.
