Department Head Payroll & Admin Abacus, 80-100%

For our client, a well-known international company, we are looking for a leadership personality with operational know-how. You will be responsible for the further development of the teams as well as for structured and successful project management and will actively participate in the implementation.

Your tasks

  • Lead your department in the company with multiple entities under a specific GAV for around 2,500 HC's with 6 employees.
  • Ensure daily business including reports and key figures and lead the Payroll & Administration area.
  • Support in special cases and year-end work, audits, and salary rounds including bonus calculations, early retirements, and compensation payments.
  • Ensure, optimize, and simplify existing processes across all 4 GAV teams.
  • Implement the HR digitalization strategy, introduce and further develop (new) tools.
  • Sparring partner for the Shared Services management.

Your profile

  • Approximately 10 years of operational experience in Payroll & HR Administration and labor law with the appropriate further training, complemented by proven leadership experience of about 5 years.
  • Versatile in payroll accounting; taxes, social insurance, and labor law.
  • IT and system-savvy, good knowledge in Abacus and SuccessFactors Employee Central.
  • Independent work and strong self-organization skills.
  • Native German, knowledge of French or Italian is an advantage.
