Somedia is one of the five largest media companies – family-owned, with flat hierarchies and an open culture. Somedia includes over 20 leading media brands, digital platforms, agencies, and educational providers in Graubünden, Glarus, and the Linth region. Around 720 people work for us – and every single one deserves HR work that is at eye level.
We have built a modern People & Culture department, a digital HR Suite, a new working time model, and a cultural transformation that is far from over. Now we are looking for a shaping leadership personality to continue this path – with enthusiasm, attitude, and the willingness to make a real impact while also getting hands-on with daily operations.
For Somedia AG in Chur, we are looking to fill the position of Leiter/in People & Culture / Leiter/in HR (100%) starting July 1, 2026, or upon agreement.
WHAT AWAITS YOU
- Lead and develop a seasoned six-member P&C team with clear roles, genuine trust, and a lot of creative freedom.
- Responsible for the entire HR lifecycle – from recruitment to development to exit – and also participate in operational matters.
- Manage labor law, social insurance, and additional benefits confidently.
- Oversee the cultural transformation at Somedia – the most important strategic project for the coming years.
- Coach leaders, accompany changes, and be a reliable contact for our 720 employees.
- Pragmatically integrate AI into P&C processes with an eye on real value.
- Report to the CFO and closely collaborate with the management and CEO.
WHAT YOU BRING
- Several years of experience in a similar HR function, ideally in an SME or decentralized structure.
- Higher HR or business administration education – and an understanding that good HR goes beyond processes and regulations.
- Genuine passion for culture transformation and organizational development – not just as a buzzword but as an attitude.
- Strong communication skills at all levels – from trainees to management.
- Quick comprehension and analytical thinking – combined with the empathy needed when working with people.
- Enthusiasm for digital tools and openness to AI in daily HR work.
- You shape processes while ensuring daily operations run smoothly.
