Our client is a non-profit and historic organization in Basel, supporting people with special needs in work, life, and housing, creating conditions for as much self-determination as possible.

A modern venue in the center of Basel, full of life and daily movement, where around 300 employees work, some with disabilities. In the HR department, there is much to do.

The HR manager and her team are tasked with both daily operations and various strategic and organizational topics. To create more space for focus, we are seeking an experienced, uncomplicated personality to cover for maternity leave, expected until summer 2027, from approximately mid-September or by arrangement.

Responsibilities

• Administrative processing of entries, contract changes, and exits
• Creating and processing contracts, changes, confirmations, and other HR documents
• Managing and maintaining personnel files
• Processing illness and accident reports
• Administration of maternity and paternity benefits
• Administrative support for temporary staff
• Accompanying and administrating apprentices
• Administrative support for civil service members
• Issuing interim wages, employer confirmations, and work confirmations
• Assisting in recruitment
• Supporting in the area of continuing education
• Updating forms and templates and helping improve existing HR processes

Qualifications

• Completed commercial training, ideally with further training as an HR officer or a comparable qualification
• Several years of experience in operational HR administration, ideally around three years or more
• Proficiency in standard HR processes
• Very good German skills, both spoken and written
• Good MS Office skills
• Independent, structured, and precise working style
• Strong service orientation
• Discretion and responsibility in handling confidential personnel data
• Interested in internal vocational training
• Ability to remain calm while managing multiple tasks
